The Ombudsperson acts as an intermediary between students and the Joint Board of Study (JBS). Prof. Ian Jackson has been appointed by the Joint Board of Study for his past experience and knowledge of EGEI regulation: Ian has no current role in the management of the programme in order to ensure independence and fairness in his actions.
The Ombudsperson acts upon request of students and communicates with the local coordinators and the JBS.
